Son Of A Plumber: First Impressions  (29/11/2005)

Ok. I got the album! Funny how it has travelled across the globe just for me :)

Anyways, I have played the album once, and only once. For a first impression.

I can clearly hear those 60s happening...I wasnt there at the time, but i have had some exposure, which helps to at least relate to those days :)

So what do I think of it having only heard it ONCE? I think there are no natural hits. Only airplay could help a song become a hit. There are very nice songs, and great melody and choruses in there...really good... but I think the project revolves around the whole LP concept. It is a 2LP unit and not a sack of individual songs... The tone has been brought down, it is not intended to be an uptempo 90s rocky TWATG style...it is in fact, a simple clear fun retro-like music concept. What it was then, but now.

Now to get to know the album, get to know the songs, and see if I change my mind :)
